Membership Payments and Donations via PayPal

We offer online membership payment and donation processing via PayPal. Your transaction details are stored securely with PayPal. When you purchase a membership or make a donation via the PayPal link on this website certain data will be passed to PayPal in order for the payment to be completed and for your membership to take effect or your donation to be received as appropriate. The data passed over is name, email address, telephone, billing address. PayPal will collect the financial and payment method details from you to allow them to process the payment you have asked them to make.

Mailing List

If you have provided us with your email address we will send you regular emails contaning all our latest news, and updates on our activities and issues concering Ilkley Moor. Upon sign-up we ask you to enter your email address, this is not used for any other purpose than stated above and saves us a considerable amount in postage and mailing costs. Your email address is stored securely.

If you submit an enquiry through our contact form, that enquiry will be emailed to a mailbox monitored by FoIM.

Website Backups

This website is backed up on a regular basis for security and disaster recovery purposes. The backups are stored securely with Dropbox. Dropbox may store these backups outside of the European Union in line with its undertakings through the EU-US Privacy Shield Program.   • membership fees you pay and donations you make
  • volunteering skills if you list any
  • your bank account details if paying by standing order
  • the fact you have used PayPal to make a payment to us if you do so
  • whether you have made a gift aid election
  • record of update emails sent to you.

How do we use your personal data?

Your data is only used by us to advise you of the following linked to our activities:

  • events and activities, we are undertaking
  • issues relating to Ilkley Moor
  • volunteering activities whether at a member or committee level
  • sponsorship opportunities
  • our AGM and any EGMs we may call
  • your membership and its renewal.

We will not share, sell or supply your data to third parties to allow them to direct market services to you.

We will share data with our bank (Unity Trust Bank) so they may process your standing order (where applicable), with PayPal where you use their services to make a payment to us, and with third parties where they are lawfully entitled to require us to do so (e.g. HMRC for gift aid processing or enforcement authorities where fraud is alleged).

We believe that this use is in line with what you would expect of FOIM in undertaking its charitable activities.

If at any point we wish to use your data differently we will notify you by email. You will have the choice as to whether or not we can use your data in this different manner.

How to get copies of or amend the data we hold?

You may request details of the personal information we hold about you and confirmation of how we use it and for what purpose at any time by emailing us at secretary@ilkleymoor.org .

If you believe that any such information is incorrect or incomplete please let us know and we will correct it as soon as possible.

If any personal information is no longer necessary we can delete it where appropriate.
